Leinster Underage Cycling Championships

Louth athletes did win some Leinster titles on Sunday May 14th, when Dundalk's Cuchulainn Cycling Club ran the Leinster underage Championships. The event comprised both a road race and a time trial, held on the challenging Sportsman's Circuit in Ravensdale.

 
Bellurgan's Rian McCrystal continued to be a dominant competitor  winning both events for the under 14 boys. A feat also accomplished by under 12 rider Daira Murphy of Dublin's Orwell Wheelers and under 16 Jack Woods of Carlow Road Club. Both clubs Orwell and Carlow, showed their strong udnerage development programmes with multiple medals across the different age categories. Cuchulainn achieved success with Rhiannon Dolan winning the under 16 girls time trial and taking the bronze in the road race., a race won by Navan's Mya Doocey ahead of Greata Lawless of EPIC. Rhiannomn's younger sister Ffionn Dolan took wins for the under 15 girls in both events also, where her club mate Grace O`Rourke also collected medals.
