One big challenge The Giants Causway with 185K including Torr Head. The morning started with a beautiful bright 4.30am start. We arrived in Ballycastle to start our challenge. The spin started with a few rolling hills through the lovely North Antrim Coast and then through the famous Dark Hedges we had our first water stop at 35K and leaving there the next stop was 60K with a tough climb through some of the most majestic Glens of Antrim where we stopped in Glenarm a lovely small coastal town. We cycled along the beautiful coast to Cushendun where we had to make the big decision do we tackle Torr Head or take the bypass so we braced ourselves to take on the challenge. We wondered on a few occasions did we make the right decision on finishing one tough hill after another but on reaching the top of the final hill we were so glad we did. It was the toughest challenge any of us have done so far by a long way. On reaching the top it was a super down hill all the way back to Ballycastle. A big thanks to Kieran McCreesh who drove the club van to support us and he was Brill. Finally a huge thanks to great friends who stuck together to support each other to make this an epic classic day.
