Round 8 of the Bike Station League was an away leg, hosted by Armagh Down Cycling Club. Set in the picturesque ring of Gullion area of outstanding natural beauty, it was a challenging hilly circuit starting in the village of Mullaghbawn, on to Forkhill for a technical, rampy descent with a sharp corner over the bridge to the Longfield Road. This fast flat section was followed by a gallop up the Camlough -Silverbridge road back to Mullaghbawn and up the steep climb after the church. Groups 4-6 had three laps to contend with, and groups 1-3 two laps. Two ladies were racing tonight, both in group 1, Rosena Lynch and Nuala O'Donoghue.

Rosie is just back from Race the Ras, a fantastic achievement, and likewise Nuala is back from completing the St Polten half Ironman. Super strong ladies!

They stayed away from the chasing groups and Rosie picked up a fine second place in front of Nuala. Well done all, points in the bag!
