Good Luck for Bike Station League 2016

Good Luck to everyone taking part in this year's Bike Station League, starting on Thursday 7th April 2016. This will be raced every Thursday for the next 18 weeks until Thurs August 18th 2016. This is going to be very exciting - will experience beat inexperience?? Anything can happen! It ain't over until all 18 weeks have been raced. The first race is to Dunleer Roundabout and back .Racing this year are 14 Women representing four clubs.

Linda Stokes who is the reigning Bike Station League Women's Winner. Will she be able to make it a back to back win?? Rosemary Gibson finished in second place last year only one point behind Linda. Sarah Fagan, Celine McPhilips and Mairead Holden are no strangers to the league having raced it last year. Rosena Lynch and Nuala O'Donoghue are making their league debut. Rosena Lynch raced in the Trader's Cup earlier this year so will know what to expect. Debbie Lundy is returning to the league this year - welcome back Debbie- we missed you last year. Mary Laverty needs no introduction - it'll be great seeing you race.

Team Ardee is made up of Johanna Rogan and Marcella Leonard who both raced in the Traders Cup earlier this year. Johanna Rogan raced in the league last year. Also racing for Team Ardee is Claire Ludlow is a new entrant and possibly a dark horse???

Eve McCrystal is now racing for Team Asea. We all know Eve. Eve and Katie-George Dunleavy recently finished 4th in the Women's Tandem WB 3km pursuit in the Para Cycling Track World Championships in Montichiari, Italy. Eve and Katie-George broke their own PB and National Record here so is in great form.

Racing for Inspired Cycling is Louise O'Hagan, Louise has previously raced in our Ladies League and is no stranger.
