Caroline Kerley wins Volunteer of the Year

Linda Stokes (Louth ROad Race Champion) & Caroline Kerely (Volunteer of the Year)
Friday night last saw Dundalk's Cuchullainn Cycling Club hold it's annual awards night in The Spirit Store. The night is a chance to reward success on the road and also to those who do a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure a club with over 300 members runs smoothly.

For that reason, the biggest award on the night is always Volunteer of the Year and for 2015 previous winner Philip Kerley presented the very deserving award to Caroline Kerley. Caroline was omnipresent at every event during the season with her camera and had photos posted to social media by nightfall. Her photos were always eagerly anticipated by those competing, to see the enjoyment or more likely, pain, etched on their face.

The largest section of the club, the Leisure Cyclists presented awards to David Sloan and Rosemary Gibson. Sandra O`Hagan claimed female cyclist of the year, following an outstanding off-road campaign , which included a national medal. Road cyclist of the year went to Jimmy Flynn, while John McDonnell was the off road cyclist of the year. Most improved male and female cyclists were Paul Howard and Rosemary Gibson respectively. Sean Conlon collected the Hero of the Year award.
