In race one Martin Gray and Se Weston were joined by Ray Fedigan promoted to a new category after his success in last year's leagues and David Holland a novice vet.  Unfortunately David punctured after striking a large pot hole on the second of 3 laps.
The race was a series of breakaways and captures over the 80k undulating course around Summerhill co meath. With 7k to go to Martin orchestrated a stall in the main bunch allowing a 7 man group containing Se Weston and Ray Fedigan to escape with a 20 second gap. This gap was maintained by 5 of the 7 with Ray and Se remaining in contention.  Ray was just pipped at a post after long run in.  2nd and 4th for the cuchulainn men

In Race 2 Jimmy Flynn a veteran from last year's racing was joined by new IVCA Cuchulainn members Brendan Dunne, Dale Copas , Aidan Delaney, and Enda McKeown.  This race was plagued by near misses resulting in 2 crashes splitting the group and bringing down Aidan luckily without serious injury.  Jimmy stayed out of trouble and managed a 6th place finish completing a great day for cuchulainn
