Updated: All change again folks. A GAA match in the Grove in Castlebellingham and an accident forced us to move circuit to Ravensdale again for safety reasons. Many thanks to all the marshals and Gabe McArdle for the whirlwind turnabout. All riders really appreciate the seamless move of route, replaced road signs, marshal locations… Well done all.
With Le Tour in full flow, it seems to be giving everyone some added “je ne sais quoi” to get out on the roads (you see what I did there, ah never mind). That being said, they humid balmy weather has also helped, not having to carry rain jackets and winter gloves around in jersey pockets.
Flat roads beckon this week, we hope. Apologies for the change of route last week, but Lordship would have just been too busy and dangerous for bunches of riders to go through. In the interests of safety, we had no choice I’m afraid.
There will be a post on FB later in the week detailing what routes we have left to complete; rest assured, there will be 18 Rounds in total barring any further incidents – We’re not going to miss out Flagstaff, and 2nd last race of the year will be the rescheduled Hilltown (thanks to the Armagh Down lads for re organising).
There are going to be very few changes, if any in groups until the end of the season, so take care and make sure you are in your correct group.
Ray Fedigan (+353862374990) is your lead marshal (Group 2) this week, and if you’re on duty, you should have received a text already. If you haven’t already done so, please make contact with Ray to confirm your attendance.
Sign on is in DKIT, refer to Race Booklet for details; opens at 18:15 and closes at 18:45 sharp. Marshal, please try to arrive earlier than the riders to be allocated marshal locations.
Safe riding, and see you all Thursday
